Tis the season to be jolly, and it can be very easy to get carried away with overspending on presents, entertainment and travels. But it’s also the season for resolutions. I’ve written about it before, and I’ll write about it again.

To me, the only meaningful difference between Christmas and any other day is that I usually get lots of presents from The Magic Christmas Trains, such as a piece of jewelry, a box of fancy chocolates, rainbow flowers, a stuffed toy, or a handmade card that plays Christmas music. Usually I get a nice dinner too, but I get a lot of nice dinners just because. I do like to take trips on the Christmas holiday, simply because it means I can get a nice chunk of time off, for only a few days.

Biography

Each year in December, two train-shaped ornaments come alive to celebrate Christmas (or whatever you like to call it). During this time of the year, everyone strives to fill their days with happiness, joy, and family harmonies, although some are more successful than others.

Santa's right-hand trains for many years at the North Pole, they are always working to make sure Christmas is the best it can be. As the heads of all holiday operations, it's up to them to update the Naughty and Nice lists, oversee all of the presents, and make sure they take off on time — all so Christmas morning goes well without a hitch! The Magic Christmas Trains not only look like jolly old elves, but also seem to know a lot about delivering presents, have a fondness for the cold, and work super-long hours during the holiday season. Plus, it's the best time of the year, when Christmas presents and lots of surprises are under the tree... so isn't it possible that all of the children, both naughty and nice, might get their wishes?

Each day is treated like an advent calendar and revolves around the trains, as they begin reading every letter that arrives and preparing for Christmas Eve. With their chains buckled on and all presents loaded, they soon set off to deliver each one, running across several difficulties along the way. Eventually, the two manage to deliver the presents before the morning of Christmas Day.

The trains have the incredible ability of making their own original presents for each specific person. They give out those presents to every person in existence (sometimes including imaginary friends and cartoon characters). Santa shows a determination to keep Christmas running smoothly, and puts full trust in his two train assistants to do so.

History

When the Magic Christmas Trains were first made, they were in the front display window of Marks and Spencer, a luxury shopping mall. The trains are later bought from the store by an unnamed man on December 1, 2019. They are then wrapped into a sparkly silver gift-box with a pink bow, which is put in a blue snowflake bag.

I couldn't find any other information about the Magic Christmas Trains, so I named them after gingerbread cookies. Can you guess what their names are?
